Medium Weight Kilt Stock Tartan (13oz)
Made from 100% Pure New Wool in a 13oz cloth medium weight stock tartan from either Strathmore Woollen Company's W60 Tartan Cloth (a thoroughbred kilting fabric woven with a traditional kilt selvedge), Lochcarron Mills' Braeriach Tartan Range (older stock has a traditional kilt selvedge but newer stock is likely to be made on a modern high speed loom with a "tuck-in" selvedge) or House of Edgar's Clan, District and Irish Tartan Range (woven with the traditional kilt selvedge).

As these cloths are all manufactured in double width only 4 yds of material is required for an 8yd kilt. Therefore, single kilt orders made from any of these cloths will have a hidden join in one of the pleats at the back of the kilt.

Rather than a kilt pin some people like a ribbon, shown here in red, or a rosette shown in green. They come in two basic styles shown and in red or green. Some like a single rosette or ribbon, others like two. The larger image shows an example on a kilt. See Ribbon Panel

Fly Plaid
Our fly plaids add that little bit extra to a formal kilt outfit. Fastened on the left shoulder they simply hang down the back as shown here. One and a half yards long with a hand twisted fringe. This is a MacLeod of Lewis tartan worn with a green Argyll Doublet.
